(watts ÷ 1,000) × hours × your unit rate

What that means in practice
At the default rate, running a 100W electric blanket overnight normally costs less than running a 2kW room heater for a single hour.

Assumptions and limitations
- An electric blanket warms a person or bed; a heater warms room air and surfaces.
- Electric heaters may cycle with a thermostat, so actual energy use can be lower than rated watts.
- Follow the manufacturer safety instructions and never use damaged heated bedding.
Power draw can vary with a thermostat, mode, room conditions and appliance model. This is a running-cost estimate, not a performance or safety recommendation.
